Marblehead Mass residents were not pleased last night during a town meeting to allow Columbia Pictures to use and tear up the High School’s dedicated ,Piper Field, Columbia Pictures offered 125,000 to replace the field after filming of GrownUps2 in August. Not a good way to start and honestly I cannot blame the residents…I think that Columbia needs to up the offer and sweeten the pot as well..Grant it that Columbia was there in Marblehead Mass for the last shoot of GrownUps,but its sort of a raw nerve kinda thing when it hits close to home where the field was named after a falling officer and these days,it cost a bit more then 125k to put in a decent athletic field and Columbia Pictures should know, you get more bees with honey then vinegar. Of course this comes after that Columbia Pictures is hiring thousands of extras and plugging money into restaurants and hotels and motels and the hiring of police and fire during filming, but you have to side with the residents of Marblehead for this.
A big open casting call is pegged for May 12,13th at the Teachers Union Hall in Boston for GrownUps2. Filming begins later this month in Marblehead Mass and continues until August 9th.
We all loved Cheers Jake! You would have made a great bartender there at Cheers and served Norm some foam topping beers! NEHollywood Loves this!
