Calling all future foodies. Fox’s “MasterChef Junior” is holding an open call for young contestants in Boston Nov. 14. Children who are between the ages of 8 and 13 years old as of April 1, 2016 are eligible to audition for the cooking competition television series in which 24 young chefs compete to win $100,000. The show starts its fourth season at 8 p.m. Nov. 6 on Fox. Featuring chef Gordon Ramsay of “Hell’s Kitchen” fame, “MasterChef Junior”
A month after Johnny Depp sent the city into a tizzy, Boston is rolling out the Red Carpet – again – for Mark Ruffalo (“The Avengers”) and cast members from “Spotlight,” another locally set drama. “Spotlight,” a movie about the Catholic Church’s sexual abuse scandal, will have its Boston premiere at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Coolidge Corner Theater, 290 Harvard St., Brookline.
