Box Office Report: Moviegoing Plummets to Post 9/11 Levels, ‘Possession’ Stays No. 1 – The Hollywood Reporter.

NeHollywood.com    With the recent massacres that took place in Colorado and other locations,no wonder the attendance has dropped off, More and more theater goer’s are staying home where they know they will be safe. Plain and simple. You can have a 3 deep line of security personal in front of a movie theater, and somehow the nut job gets into the theater and kills. Cable companies such as Time Warner and Comcast have most likely seen their customer accounts rise with the offering of DVR’s and Red Box have seen their sales increase as well from DVD and Blue Ray rentals. Not to mention you don’t have to pay 10 bucks for a bowl of popcorn. Point being,is that We live in a dangerous world and you hear alot of folks, saying your chances of being involved in a event like Colorado’s movie theater is low,but at the end of the day, there is still the chance. That is the chance I’d rather not take. You can void my ticket please.
