Summer movie thriller to be shot in Providence area….
A supernatural romantic thriller, potentially titled “Remain,” will be filmed in Providence this summer by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The film will be based on an original story created by Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks, with Shyamalan writing the screenplay and Sparks writing a corresponding novel.
